New Leaf Climate: Finding Venture Gaps in Wildfire Relief

June, 2025

In the aftermath of the Los Angeles 2025 fires, I wanted to find a way to begin to make impact in any way possible. Donning my forward thinking cap, I dove into my first project in the VC world, exploring new and unfamiliar pathways for social impact.

Tasked at the beginning with individual research, I quickly became enamored within the field of home hardening. Questions like “How can we cost effectively reduce the impact of fires on homes?” guided me throughout my research.

Condensed Report Submitted for Publishing on New Leaf Climate’s Website

Under guidance of New Leaf Climate, I was delegated to lead a small team investigating home hardening for our final report. Through interviews and research, we developed a comprehensive home hardening guide complete for contractors and homeowners alike.
